I strive to work as diligently, be as strong in my faith daily and to leave a legacy of honor as did my nephew, Corporal John Stalvey. John was killed on October 3 fighting for the principles of freedom and to bring democracy to a people who have been oppressed under tyranny for many years and who have had little hope of liberty. John, you are forever my hero. I’m honored to be a part of John’s family and a recipient of his legacy of patriotic sacrifice.
